Male fires gun outside his apartment and nearby liquor retailer

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Officers with the Lincoln Law enforcement Department not too long ago arrested a man they believe that was firing a gun outside his condominium and a nearby liquor retail store.

About 9 p.m. on Saturday police were being dispatched to an location of Q Avenue the place a number of individuals described listening to gunshots.

Responding officers spoke with witnesses who claimed they saw a male with a group of persons firing a gun into the air outside the house Mum’s Liquor Shop on O Street.

LPD claimed other persons listened to gunshots coming from an apartment off of Q Street. According to officers, they went to the condominium and designed get in touch with with 27-calendar year-old Traves Nevels, alongside with three other adult males.

Officers explained Nevels had a handgun magazine with one particular round of 9mm ammunition in it. LPD officers located 9mm shell casings less than the balcony and identified a handgun holster in the dwelling place.

LPD stated officers reviewed surveillance video from the liquor retail outlet that showed Nevels inside the store with a gun on his hip. According to law enforcement, witnesses also identified him as the one firing the gun exterior the liquor retail store.

Nevels was arrested for discharging a firearm in the town and illegal possession of a firearm in the metropolis.
